You’ll explore and identify specific counselling skills used with individuals coping with grief and bereavement. You’ll learn the skills needed to help babies, toddlers, children, adolescents and adults through bereavement, along with how to help someone with diagnosed mental health difficulties to work through bereavement.
The Grief and Bereavement Counselling Course delves into counselling for sudden bereavement, including loss through suicide. You will also learn ways to counsel an individual through terminal illness bereavement, including, but not limited to, cancer and dementia, and you will look at end of life care and how to prepare an individual for this.
