Course Description
The Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training on Learning Disability and Autism. Aiming to save lives by ensuring the health and social care workforce have the right skills and knowledge to provide safe, compassionate and informed care to autistic people and people with a learning disability.
The first part is an e- learning module, and the second part is either an online interactive session (Tier 1) or a face-to-face session (Tier 2)
Through the Oliver Mcgowan Autism and Learning Disability Course, you will deepen your understanding of the different types of learning disabilities, their causes, effects and diagnosis. You will also explore the needs of the individual and how to provide quality support through adopting a person-centred care approach.
